Hi guys!!! Good Wednesday Morning to you! I'm getting mix feedbacks from my Mission Possible: Aku Tetap Aku- Takde Hal Punya project. It seems many love the idea and theres also a handful who is against it. I'm open to suggestion and criticisms and for those who questions my sincerity in creatively doing these caricatures, its simply that, I just want to make someone laugh or at least put a smiley on their faces. Like the words of Kahlil Gibran: In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. Salam Friends! Happy Aidil Adha! Alhamdulillah I'm getting orders from friends and have been so busy accomodating their requests. It seems couples nowadays would prefer to have their portrait caricatured, hence the orders kept coming in. A friend has booked my time for a family caricature to be given as presents for christmas.


My subject today is Ms Shaqeena. She is a beautiful lady and I depicted her tae kwan doing my lovely Apek.

Anyway, I have the ultimate no 1 fan, Puan Zahara, from Perth. She got reacquainted to a long time friend, Mr Madkhul, whose father was a great friend of her father, Hj Sulaiman. He wanted to know Hj Sulaiman's secret to longevity (92 years of age)... Wow!!!!!!

I'm proud of my Apek, he was sent to an assignment in Australia, that did not stop his inquisitive mind just there, he decided to gain knowledge and experience by venturing further to Arab Saudi.


Apek: Awww lu kasi wa manyiak maluuuuuu seh.. wa tala bulajat pandai tau tak, tapi wa punyia omak ala ciakap 'Apek ah... lu luas bejalan, lanti lu lapat luas pandangan ah... lu lengar ini baik-baik.' Itu pasat ah.. wa belenti jiaga itu wunta lekat liyad sana. Hali-hali wa pun bau wunta, tabole tahan liao lah. Boss ala ciakap bole lapat luiy joget 'belly lansing'. Wa hor tala punah lapat tengok itu lansing tau tak.... so wa ikut wa punyia best brader Burhanuddin Nasir, wa panggil lovingly Bob, pigi Turkey sana cali kilijia. Its 3:21 am, Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay ~ not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead-end street. Alhamdulillah I've completed another caricature! Yes! You see guys, I dont just randomly choose any subject for my cartoons.. I'll give a glance at all my friends in FB and let my mind wonder. If i start to smile at someone's profile, that person will be my next victim. Muwahahahahaaaah!

Wishing you a blessed and a beautiful Sunday, friends! He decided to quit the'elephant man' stint and head to Peter's abode, also in Australia. Anyway, Peter used to be my boss in the Straits Times Art Dept. He was a good boss and he respected my capabilities hence I always got good assignments from him. Thx Peter! Kudos to you! Strangely we got reconnected through FaceBook after 12 years and 5 kids later...hehehe mine that is :) Apek: Hei you know wat happen? I hah nearly kena langgar by a big lorry u know. First one was dedicated to my darling niece, Nadya and this one is dedicated to my friend Puan Zahara. She is like me: a super dupermom who adores her kids very very much! Salam friends!!! The time is 4:53am. Wow how time flies when you're engrossed with the things that you love to do. Alhamdulillah I've got Amir Amzar's caricature completed. I have to admit it took me a few sketches to draw my dear friend here. He is a cute guy but he has sooooo many photos snapped at different angles which made him look totally different. Amir had send me a mail hoping that it won't be a challenge to draw him..... it was dah! Wa mau ciakap sikit hor...itu halimau ah.. tala jiadi makan wa tau.. Good Evening Friends, Alhamdulillah I managed to complete one more caricature for your entertainment tonight! To those (you know who you are) who are against my MISSION woe to you... rezeki Allah yang tentukan.
As you all know i attended the Butterfly Clique's workshop- Passion, Purpose and Prosperity conducted by two powerful women, Suria and Harasha. My friends kept on asking me how it was. It was fantastic, inspirational, insightful, stimulating and thought provoking. But you have to admit, as a cartoonist sometimes, actually, most of the time, my mind humor me. So there were instances I had to stifle a laugh when my mind turned some serious moments to funny scenarios. Good Morning everyone! My Mission Possible AKU TETAP AKU- TAKDE HAL PUNYA is still going strong. I will do as many as I can: caricatures of friends added in my FaceBook account. Alhamdulillah, my passion in art has created profound effect on someone's lives. Just like this particular lady who is my subject for today...Sister Zahara Azzahra! She wanted her daughters to be caricatured at first, but when I saw an old photo of Sis Zahara, I was captivated by her beauty when she was at the same age as he daughters now. I then decided to draw her sharing joyous moments with her daughters as though they were the best of friends. I would definitely want this to happen to me and my mom. So Sis Zahara, I hope you will like this special memento of you.!!! :) Lanti-lanti apek sini mau ciakap, "wa manyiak cekik lalah tau tak? hali-hali wa kina acting lalam ini kehlikehtuer. The time is 4.33 am. I'm back from the Passion Purpose Prosperity workshop. MasyaAllah, my soul searching days are over guys. That 1 day event was so solid, conducted by 2 beautiful, vivacious and articulate ladies, Suria and Harasha. Their riveting and heartfelt talk was invaluable to me... I'm sooooooo glad I made it..thx to Niza for making it possible!!! 
Anyway, I want to recommend my friend here, Ms Mawaddah to attend the next event. I'm sure she will enjoy every minute of it...just like I did!!! I am so lucky to befriend Mawaddah who is so talented with her heart wrenching poems. As promised I cartoonised her with her beloved son Nur Khalis and their favourite wonder machines.... I hope they like this caricature specially drawn by me... Layan!!!!

Salam everyone!!! My heart is pounding very fast now b'cos tomorrow, InsyaAllah, I'm attending Suria's workshop. Hey guys I know you must be thinking this lady is craaaaazy. But believe me, when you have been cooped up in the house taking care of everyone But yourself, you just can't deal with the pressure of socialising with the public anymore. I pray to Allah everything will be ok. So! Today's caricature is my dearest and faithful commenter, Liza Salim. Initially I coudnt get hold of her close up photo, but alas, there it was in her album yesterday. I find it very, very interesting that she used our founder, (ei saya olang singghapuo ley, luluk jiebi saje...) Sir Stamford Raffles, to be her profile pix. So put 2 and 2 together (my silly mind and her photos of course!) we get this......Enjoy!!!

Muwahahahahhah! Finally, I got this caricature done. Its not easy drawing Mr Hyzel secretly because there's not many close up photos of Mr handsome as he is known in my family. Do you guys know that this caricature thingy has become a household affair. My husband and children have joined in the visualising of concept, captioning and sometimes choice of subjects. Its funny how one's passion can create a bond among loved ones, MasyaAllah, Subhanallah and Alhamdulillah. Ini Mr Hyzel manyiak bikin olang sooosah butut. Wa talak bole titun, soosah hati tengok olang kulus ini hor. Wa kasi Mr Hyzel ini idea hor, suloh lia tolong kawan lia lah. THE WRESTLER GRRRRRRRRR!!!

Hi everyone! I did not sleep last night because I was able to get peace and quiet while everyone in the house is sound asleep. Even little Aini did not bother me at all. :) Part of the reason was also because I love drawing my next subject. He is Mr 'Akim Daffi. He is a caricaturist dream subject. His face got character. Initially I had him in a different role, but finally decided to portray him as a wrestler. I guess he and his friends will have a nice time laughing at it.

Anyway I hope she is doing ok after her small mishap. It seems a cyclist knocked on her while she was running and the cyclist didn't even apologise.... As a friend in my FaceBook, I decided to cheer her up with this comical scenario of her and hubby riding an agitated elephant..... cool huh!

EDDY BIAGGY GOES TO ITALY

Hi friends!!! Hot from the oven!!!! This is my friend Eddy Biaggy. Don't know his real name tho but i think i know him as a person. Eddy is a funny, friendly and most of all, a loving DADDY! As a caricaturist you just cant help prying into your subject's real life. I do it because i want my cartoons to depict the subject's actual life. If i don't have that, i'll do the total opposite then. Anyway I truly hope to Allah Eddy likes this because I get emotional when i draw children...sob..sob..

THURSDAY, 29 OCT 2009 -MISSION POSSIBLE DAY 4

'AKU TETAP AKU'-TAKDE HAL  PUNYA-

Alhamdulillah, by the Grace of God Almighty, things are going smoothly amid the busy schedule i'm facing right now. A guy ask me why am i doing this mission for free! I told him this mission is my way of teaching my children that you don't have to measure everything with money. Life is soooo short. I strongly believe that everyone of us have a role to play and probably destined for one. I just love to make people laugh. Its no fun having a funny moment all alone. Thus, this Mission is great, I guess someone out there might be sniggering at my cartoons right now. Its true I have not shop at the mall for ages.. Infact at this very moment I can surf the web because recently i was able to buy a second hand laptop at ebay for $300.... terror seh, what a bargain.

Living in Jaybee has made me wiser and humane. Life is much, much simpler when you're surrounded with people who does not have it all. Don't get me wrong, I want to be the next millionaire in the making! But after reading 'Anthony Robbins's book The Unlimited Power I have a different outlook on life. Its really refreshing.

He is right you now, when you do something that you really love, anything can happen.

Recently I celebrated my 41st birthday and this MISSION POSSIBLE is the best birthday gift ever!!!! :)

My hubby ask me what if friends added to the thousands.. I told him as long as I can draw, I have my papers and pen, I will immortalise my Facebook friends. Its like doing a big masterpiece... I can't say when its going to end though....

 This is Mr Hawazi Daipi. It may be a shocked to some of u guys and probably my own children for that matter, but he is a friend of mine and a friend in my FaceBook. So kenala dikartunkan jugak ya...tak boleh elak dari Shareah...muahahahahaah! Anyway, i knew him when i was working as a graphic journalist for the Singapore Straits Times, long, long, long time ago..phew. Mr Hawazi is a sweet, soft spoken gentleman. Back then i dah gatal je nak kartunkan dia sebegini rupa because i think dia sajak jadi hero filem Melayu.... heheheh...

WEDNESDAY 28 2009, 3.03 AM (MISSION POSSIBLE DAY 3)

Its wee hours in the morning and i am not in bed... Aini has finally slept 2 hours ago so mummy has got time to finish off Uncle Darwis's caricature, yeh, yeh! Darwis is the very few people who acknowledged my first presence in Facebook. I've known Darwis since i was working in Berita Harian way way  back in the late 90s. Of course i was working in the art studio.... that was something! Anyway guys, Darwis struck me as a good cartoon muscleman. I just knew his perfect for it. So Darwis, i do hope you love this portrayal of you.

 THE WONDERMUSLIMAH WOMAN!!!! SUPERPIQA

Alhamdulillah..... so many feedbacks (so far good ones, keep it up), many friends added in and my mind is flooding with creative juices flowing straight to my hand. A niece asked me why am i not charging my services for the caricatures beautifully drawn. (She knows her auntie is a super duper mom with no bank acc, let alone money in her wallet. She showed her friends the blog and they were soooooo excited that she trunkcalled me from her Uni in Sarawak! They wanted to place an order... but i told her just ask them to add themselves to my Facebook acc. Upload their photos and InsyaAllah, their caricatures will be uploaded in the 'AKU TETAP AKU' TAKDE HAL PUNYA photo album.

I like to make people laugh, ask anyone who knows me... so if services is charged i wont be able to freely express myself in the caricatures. I just dont anyhow pick a subject to draw... i let my mind wonder and visualise the person on how he or she should be depicted. Like tonight because of the beautiful heart that belongs to NurSyafiqah, she is the next cartoon depicted. She tried to be my hero, so i made her into one!!!

Hi, i've just posted some interesting stuff on my Facebook wall...  I love to draw no matter what... i love cartooning and i have a great sense of humor. Recently i just started to do caricatures and i just cant stop. My children knows me very well that i cant see a marker pen infront of me. They'll be 'victimised' with caricatures of them either drawn on pieces of paper strewn about or yesterdays newspaper. Anyway, what i posted on my Facebook wall was that, i will be cartooning those people i've added as friends in my Facebook acc. Yeah baby... that'll be my mission! I've created an album called "AKU TETAP AKU, TAKDE HAL PUNYA!

I have friends who say its a crazy idea... well when u have 5 children and loads and loads of housework that i called 'homework' (no baby you have to do your homework just like mummy is dutifully doing hers ok.. sayang....grrrrrr howl!!!!) you have to unwind if not as an artist you will just go CRAAAAAAAZEEEEEY!!!

They are a cute couple, so there's no harm done when i decided to potray them snuggling on a 'i couldnt care less' kind of bull. Amin & Iylia...Your dearest makcu cant give u both a super duper wedding gift but has this Alhamdulillah God given talent to come up with this impossible but remarkable wedding couple pose for a portrait that money can't buy..... This is truly a gift from my heart .. congrats!
